I worked downtown for 30+ years - love the downtown and Riverpark Square. I do miss Macy's downtown, but looking forward to something interesting in Macy's building. Also, hope the Olive Garden will come back downtown. Downtown is very important for attracting the convention and tourist business. Thanks to all who are working to make it great!

Each day I spend time Downtown, simply to enjoy the community. Half of my life has been in Spokane, watching wonderful changes thru the years. I am excited for my future here. Proud of Downtown.

So proud to live, work and play in (and near) downtown Spokane! Nationally recognized local restaurants, incredible symphony, a rapidly growing arts scene, small indie music venue, theater, shopping, not to mention the breath-taking 100 acre park and a massive river running through the heart of the city. And while downtown has a ton going for it, like all cities, there's always room for improvement. I'm also incredibly appreciative of the citizens and City leaders working extremely hard to make downtown even greater.

I love downtown Spokane! In the last couple years it has really come alive with new restaurants and hotels. It feels like a new city compared to five years ago. The next five years is looking great as well with a completely new remodeled Riverfront Park under construction as we speak!

Having traveled throughout the country and the world, I can safely say that downtown Spokane has a lot of good things going for it. It stays quite busy, especially for the size of the city. It's clean, but not sterile. There is a lot of classic architecture (Chronicle Building, Bing, Fox, etc) in addition to the things most other nice cities have in River Park Square. Spokanites tend to be a self-loathing lot for some reason. Cheer up! Downtown is a great mix of small town and big city life.
