Their Billing Department doesn’t do their job and the system they use is crooked. The care of cancer patients is horrible

The billing department is a joke! We are still getting random bills almost 2 years after the birth of my son. They have been sending out bills prior to submitting them to our insurance company which we have been paying (we are ended up being charged double for each service-“for the physician and the hospital”). The majority of their billing representatives are rude and at the very least are unhelpful. Even our insurance company calling them directly got an attitude. RecommendedFirst time as a patient was 1975 with a bladder stone. They gave me good care then and since with my rather minor and infrequent health problems. I have been a volunteer for 6 years and see the LGH staff in action every week.

First thing I see when I walk in is an atm and it’s very clear MONEY COMES WAY BEFORE PATIENTS three hours in ER with broken bone and insurance/ payment info comes before pain medicine is offered smh 🤦♀️ pathetic
