until LGH straightens itself out in regards to staff/patient relationship. Certain medical staff very unprofessional.. I as a patient was not listened to. nor my suggestions taken into consideration. Also it appears the hospital medical departments have a monopoly. I requested a second opinion and it was denied. unless they are part of the LGH group and have rights to the hospital. I requested to see x-rays and reports, i was denied. the physician was extremely rude and arrogant.
RecommendedOf all the local hospitals LGH is the the hospital I would choose and recommend above all others.
RecommendedMy mom has been here since Thursday with a pericardial effusion. Today Dr. Cziperle performed pericardial window surgery. He’s absolutely phenomenal. So wonderful at explaining things so they’re understandable, delightful bedside manner, and overall just a wonderful experience. Dr. Lando came in as the attending doc since she’s been back in her room and he is equally as wonderful. The nurses and support staff on both the 5th and 6th floors have been so kind and amazing. RecommendedI came into the ER yesterday morning with severe flank pain from a kidney stone. From the moment I stepped through the doors until I was put in my room following bilateral kidney stone extraction, I have been treated with kindness, dignity and respect. My nurses, doctors, and all other staff have gone well above my expectations, especially the kind security guard who brought me a heated blanket and stood nearby until I went back to be treated. RecommendedI had surgery on my right elbow on June 26th.I had a great experience with the lancaster genereal orthopedic team.They treated me with excellent care in pre op and in the recovery.I came out of surgery in a lot of pain and I ended up staying overnight at the hospital so they could get my pain under control.The nurses and patient care aides on the 7th floor were awesome to.They treated me with excellant care to.And my surgeon Dr.Brislin from westphal orthopedics gets a 5 star rating from me.I could not have asked for any bett... read more
RecommendedI was taken to the emergency room from cherry crest farms by ambulance because I tore up my shins. I was so scared but my nurse, Sammi, stayed with me holding my hand and calming me while an excellent PA, Kristin Deangelis, fixed me up. 45 stitches!! It ended my vacation but at least the experience wasn’t terrible. Thanks to those two remarkable ladies. Eileen Silver

RecommendedDr. Gish and his team. they were amazing and very thorough and curdious to my husband.
Really bad experience. Urgent Care sent me for X-ray but I got full ED treatment. Registration was incompetent, staff visiting loudly at desk and no call bell. Asked for restroom and didn’t come back to help me. Waited SIX hours for X-ray, CT Scan and bandaid. Waiting room wasn’t crowded. Woman bent double and crying in lobby and no one came to assist her. Parking garage is scary and no security at night.
