Our first trip to the Downtown City Tavern, place is the usual pub style decor. I checked out the menu online was interested in the Poutine which is one of my favorites. The Poutine was excellent with scallions added, a nice touch. Had the meatballs with crushed tomatoes, excellent flavor and texture. Wife had the mushroom Swiss burger, cooked just right, not a fan of the German Potato Salad, vinegar was a bit strong. Great bartender. Not a lot of tap lines but they fill them with some of the best beer to hit the New York area and have the friendliest bartenders serving it.
