Downey Escrow allowed a borrower to cheat my company out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by recording an obviously faked signature on a reconveyance that was delivered to them by the borrower. They never contacted me, as the representative of the lender, to confirm the reconveyance even though that is standard practice with escrow companies. Laurie is the most knowledgable escrow officer I have ever encountered and she's an amazing person to have on your side when deals go sideways. She is invaluable and not a push-over when the deal gets tough, she will help all parties come out the other side happy!
