Service and food was excellent! It was mine and my fiances first time there to eat with some friends and definitely won't be our last!
I'm a tough critic, but last night's meal at Dovetail would have been a stand-out in any city large or small. Really good meal. The cheese plate was anything but ordinary. The veggie plate - roasted cauliflower, butter braised cabbage, butter beans, butternut squash slaw, kale chips and cornbread - fantastic. Chocolate bark for dessert. Daryl says the blackened catfish was also very good. Gold star.
We were staying in Macon for a long weekend. I googled best places to eat in Macon and Dovetail came up. We had an amazing meal! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our server did a great job of providing recommendations. I recommend making reservations. We were lucky and were able to get a reservation same day. People without a reservation were told it was a couple hour wait. I highly recommend Dovetail if you are in Macon. We will definitely go back if we go to Macon again.
Stopped in from Marietta GA to Columbia SC. Best restaurant in town and I wish it was in Columbia.... food is scrumptious- farm to table, classy, cozy establishment.
