Dr. Trate is great but it can be near impossible to call the office....Busy signal or cutoff now for over an hour.
My wife was seen by this Dr. for stomach issues that have been going on for months. She was seen twice, once for the initial visit, and the second was for an upper endoscopy. She was contacted by their nurse that the Dr. would see her in three years. Never resolved the issue! Had one test, and be told to see you in three years. I would like to ask the Dr. to take a flame and hold it against his throat, and say "I want to see you in three year!" Poor excuse for a Dr. let alone a specialist!
Excellent experience all the way around. From the beginning of making an appointment, the initial visit with very qualified and friendly staff, to the day of my procedure and after. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I went to him because of all the recommendations I've received from my friends, who thinks this guy is great. I must agree.
Great staff, great appointment!
I had an excellent experience. Although it is a very busy practice, they still have smiles on their faces and treat the patients with compassion. The wait time was not an issue as their was a critically ill patient who needed a little extra time before I could see Dr. Trate. If I am ever in a situation where I need extra time with him, I know that he will take very good care of me. Dr. Trate is a very caring, compassionate doctor and his facility is nice and clean.
It took 2 months to get an endoscopy with cancer suspected.
Unfortunately, after a 45 minute wait, I walked out of the session after this office would not adhere to patient wishes regarding charting. As most of you know, insurance companies make treatment authorizations based on information provided. They also share this information across the insurance portal. Unless you are a savvy patient advocate for yourself, your confidential information is not kept just with the medical staff and can later lead to denials in claims. Office was unhelpful & a waste.
Not only is Dr. Trate unhelpful and unwelcoming, every PA I've dealt with here is practically the same way. Getting appointments is impossible, and they are too fast to prescribe you some drug, take your money, and tell you to come back later and hope the treatment helps. They aren't personable and don't care about healing your underlying condition, they just write another scrip and call it a day. I've had countless bad experiences with this GI and I really wish there were other options in town.
Dr. Trate is one of the worst doctors I have encountered. During my first visit, I was scheduled with a nurse practitioner, who proceeded to give me inappropriate advice. The first time I met with Dr. Trate was moments before the endoscopy. He not only did not make me feel welcome to ask questions, but was unfamiliar with my medical condition and unaware that I had previously had an endoscopy. He also did not conduct the tests he had agreed to. The office overbooks and wait times are long.
