Very disappointing stay. Our room was supposed to be booked entirely with points, but we were incorrectly charged for one night. I left an urgent voicemail for the General Manager and was told I’d receive a call back by the next morning. It’s now the following afternoon, and I’ve still heard nothing. During our stay, our truck was broken into, along with at least four other trucks in the parking lot. First I’d like to say, the staff was very nice and did their best, but the first room I was put in the A/C was not working and it was 82 degrees. I ask to switch rooms and the next was the same way. The third room had a very loud water /mechanical sound (see video). The fourth room was cool and quiet, but the shower did not get hot just slightly warm and did not fully transform into a shower (see other video). We had a fantastic stay at the DoubleTree Arboretum last week! I really want to give a massive shout-out to Celia at the front desk. She was absolutely amazing and truly amplified our entire experience. Celia is friendly, funny, and so personable—it was a genuine pleasure interacting with her every single time we passed by, from check-in to check-out. I am writing this review to share an experience that started out quite difficult but was ultimately saved by one outstanding manager. Initially, I would have given this hotel a much lower rating. When we checked in, the presentation of the lobby looked great, and the front desk staff was initially helpful with parking validation and breakfast vouchers.
