I chose it because I want to save time and quickly check in at the Pennybacker Bridge in the morning. Double Tree by Hilton is a pretty big name of quality and service to me. This location was so disappointing, not just the road in construction and freeway, I checked in late at 1am, so I asked for extended checkout, one guy said until 3pm so I was okay and paid for it. I'm thoroughly disappointed by location. My wife and I decided to stay in Austin for the weekend to visit some family and we picked the DoubleTree by Hilton. I cashed out my points for the junior suite expecting a good size room with a good view. The room was good-sized but it had no outside for you My complaint comes from the fact that the room was not properly cleaned before we entered and the towels smelt absolutely terrible. We had booked a few days stay here and had many issues and left the same night we checked in. After many backs and forth with the hotel we were refused a refund by management. We did not receive the type of room we had originally reserved and paid for, there was a roach outside of our room, our room had mysterious stains on the carpet, and a good chunk of the hotel was under construction and missing flooring. Also upon arriving we found out that an additional to pay for a room we would also have to pay for parking each day.

I checked in and after getting into my room and unloading all my baggage and took the cart back downstairs, I attempted to put items in the fridge and it wasn't cold at all I then turned on the TV and the whole screen was blue so I called down and was moved to another room so I went back downstairs to get the cart and loaded all my bags "Again"! Went to the new room and proceeded to turn on the TV and yes, now this TV was really dark on the top half of the screen! I'm not packing up again and moving again but it's absolutely... read more
