I chose it because I want to save time and quickly check in at the Pennybacker Bridge in the morning. Double Tree by Hilton is a pretty big name of quality and service to me. This location was so disappointing, not just the road in construction and freeway, I checked in late at 1am, so I asked for extended checkout, one guy said until 3pm so I was okay and paid for it. Not a fan of this DoubleTree location. The layout is such a strange concept. Our room window, instead of facing outside, overlooked the interior of the hotel bar and restaurant where you can easily hear the employees and other people talking out there late at night. The air conditioner in our room was very loud and kept clicking on and off in short intervals all night. Staff has been nothing but professional and friendly here. Due to work I had to stay at this particular hotel for several weeks. Due to that I meet almost all the staff. Very friendly and professional to a last. Location leaves a bit to be desired simply because there really isn't much in walking distance but if you dont mind driving about 2 to 3 miles there are tones of stores and restaurants available.
Some clean rooms everyday, we'll managed, great hospitality, and decent breakfeast. Honestly glad to have a room in this hotel
