It was quite dark (about 6:30 pm) one night last week in Ventura CA, I had just turned North from 101 onto Highway 33 when my headlights revealed a hulking, dark shape slowly moving ahead in the right-hand lane. As dirty as a business can be, owner Martin is a scummy, thieving thug. I went to buy a truck from his impound lot, he couldn't get it running after telling me it drove great. Refuses to give my money back. I go online and see dozens of similar stories. Straight up got mugged by this dirtbag business.

Bad service. They are liers and won't help you at all when you need it. I don't recommend this company you are better off leaving your vehicle where it is! Or call another tow company

Watch Out – Had car towed by HOA. I have all of what I am about to post recorded on video at their location. Martin asked that I bring CASH ONLY (when VC section 22658 (k) clearly states any tow company must offer Credit card or cash payments) When we pointed this out to us he told us to leave his property. Then we told him we are aware of the law and where going to call the police, Suddenly he was willing to work with us again but still Only Cash. Watch Out – I had my vehicle towed by Double R Towing of Ventura. Although I was not there, two witnesses observed the tow truck driver (Martin) back into the left rear qtr panel of my truck causing $1500 worth of damage. Of course he denies it and says that he has backed into plenty of vehicles in the last 25 years and knows what that sounds like and feels like. I would recomment going elsewhere for your towing needs.

Good Service – Just had my vehicle towed by Double R towing of Ventura. I had two tires blow out on one side of the vehicle, and the operator (Sean) had to pull the spare tire off and install it on the front of the vehicle, so that he could tow it. Not to mention that he ran back to his shop to pick up a different truck that would get into the area where my vehicle was sitting. I was only charged $50 dollars for all this effort. I think Double R towing has earned my business in the future. JIm Cary Ventura,CA.

Jerks on the phone SCAMMERS! – A truck my husband sold over a year ago was impounded, they sent us a bill for over 1,000$ claiming he was the registered owner. He called explaining he was NOT and that he had sent in the release of liability and confirmed that with the DMV. The person on the phone called him "hard headed" and said he had to phisically bring in the document to prove it. Double R Towing Worst Towing Service Experience!! – Martin the man in charge is nothing but a scamer. Disgusting man to do business with. He tows for the police department, but sooner or later they will find out all the dirty jobs he is doing. it has to be someone fault......why not us – Does anyone relize just how many cars are towed on a daily basis?? And everyone has a story! its not mine, I sold it, i have no idea what car you are talking about so on and so on......... unfortunately not everyone is honest, so proof has to be provided, and the DMV paperwork is said proof When a car is towed after 72 hours a lien is ran on said car thru the DMV.
