I purchased their Groupon for eye exam & $150 toward glasses/lenses. When I called to make my appointment, I was told that a contact lens exam would be "separate" & therefore an additional fee - $125. I said since it was separate, we could charge that exam to my insurance. She then said it wasn't actually a separate exam, it was just a "contact lens fitting," to find the correct contact lens brand for your eyes. ($125 for THAT? Seriously?) It is the desire of the doctor to provide people without vision insurance an opportunity to receive annual eye exams for the health of the eye and glasses if needed. Groupon cannot be combined with insurance as clearly stated on the website. If it were to be combined with insurance that would be considered insurance fraud. The staff at Double Creek Eye Care goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and receive the best care possible. Dr. Carroll is very personable and kind and I appreciate that he took his time throughout my appointment instead of rushing. He diligently worked to make sure my prescription was correct and explained everything in detail so I understood what was going on.
