Life has not dealt me the beat cards over the past several years; between losing my job I had for 4 years due to people lying and falsely accusing me of things, losing my grandmother and other personal circumstances. Dorene is a good listener, good at what she does, has helpful insights, and definitely has her head on straight. We had previously visited three other Christian counselors who all turned out to be a bit loopy (and that is putting it mildly). These other counselors either broke boundaries that should not be crossed between counselor and counselee, or simply gave us their one-size-fits-all approach.
