I was recently pregnant with my first and had a concern early on... Doran squeezed me in on the same day that I contacted them despite not having established care and their entire staff has treated my husband and me with so much empathy and care since.
Absolutely awful. Run away! They told me they were giving me a PELVIC EXAM and WITHOUT MY CONSENT did a Pap smear instead. This clinic needs to be sued and closed down.
I contacted Dr. Carroll to get a consultation on a bilateral salpingectomy. The first appointment went smoothly and she assured me her nurse would contact me soon (this appointment was end of July). Nurse contacts me at 445 on Friday, August 23rd. I'm a little annoyed, but I know things can get hectic, and as I was working late that day, I missed her call. They are completely stuck in the 1990's in terms of technology and it is incredibly hard to work with. They do everything on paper and fax. They aren't even able to transfer electronic records via email, much less updated medical records software and database. They have some good staff if you know you will stay in Ames, but if you ever need to move, avoid them like the plague.
