The other 1 star reviews pretty much sum him up. He comes in rather abrasive and dismissive right off the bat. He was dismissive of my symptoms, for instance I brought up chronically swollen lymph nodes and he told me I don't have any swollen lymph nodes without even feeling where I was stating they were (you can actually visually see that they are swollen). He dismissed a lot of my symptoms because he felt I was too young so didn't care to follow-up or offer anything of help, but then in my chart notes after acknowledged cl... read more
Dr. Donovan came into room with an aggressive and almost berating demeanor. It was bizarre and caught me off guard. He was abrupt and rude, was physically in my face, and cut me off when asking me specific medical questions. He was condescending, hurried, and abrupt in his handling of my physical body as he performed his assessment without first telling me what he was doing. He made me and my supporting partner feel disregarded and borderline assaulted. He insinuated that I had no reason to be there despite having a referral... read more
I was left waiting in the exam room for 3 hours. Once he came in, he was very rushed and seemed to have made his mind up about my problem before even getting into the room. I have chronic sinus problems on one side. He measured my neck and told me that I have sleep apnea. I'm not sure I've ever been as upset and uncomfortable as I was in that appointment; I can say for certain that I've never had any other health care worker treat me as he did. I hear that he's a good surgeon, so if you are looking for a surgical recommendat... read more
This man is not doctor material. He is so cold and callous and unfriendly. Very uncomfortable with him and switched Drs.
I don't know why he is still employed after reading the comments above. I waited for 30 minutes in the room for him to arrive. Then he came in the room for about 3 minutes and had to leave again. Apparently, he was on call with the ER. He seemed rushed and irritated. We discussed my issues and then he started explaining treatment options, but he moved back and forth between one issue and the other in such a way that I left not knowing which of the things he told me related to which issues he was addressing. Just a weird expe... read more
Told my son to use tap water for nasal sinus rinse 3x a day when every single thing I’ve ever read and on directions on nasal rinse products says NEVER use tap water.
I went to the Willamette ENT because they are the main ENT option in Salem and the practice has stellar reviews. Clearly this guy is not the reason for those reviews. I've been dealing with symptoms highly suspicious for head and neck cancer for a year (swollen neck, facial nerve pain) and wanted to have an MRI done for good measure, but Dr. Donovan insisted that the "risk" of an MRI was greater than the risk that I had cancer. Seriously? He was arrogant and didn't address my symptoms at all. After pressing him further he re... read more
Very knowledgeable, prompt visit (did not have to wait. A fun personality. Told me what was needed to cut out to save my life. He did what was needed. He had me come for check ups quite frequently at the beginning and after five years, he said he was quite confident the cancer was GONE. He saved my life. Thanks Dr. Donavan, don't hurt your ankle again.
He said I needed nasal surgery. I’ve had a collapsed nasal every since now I was told I can go to OSHU to see if they can even fix it at this point. That was my second opinion. I wished I had never met him. Just run. I was so much better than before he touched me.
