Dr. Lum is an outstanding gastroenterologist. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and a competent practitioner. I have had 2 procedures performed at his clinic with outstanding results. One characteristic that stands out is his receptiveness to patient input and willingness to listen to science related to your condition. Three years ago I had Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and his attentiveness to my symptoms and input resulted in selection of appropriate therapy and recovery.

I specifically asked for Dr Lum, based on my experience with him a few years ago. He had was great in telling me what I needed to know and inspired confidence in me that he was careful and concerned. He was the same this time. If I again needed this type of care, I would certainly choose him.

Dr. Lum has been my provider for 12+ years. He is very knowledgeable with the most up-to-date treatment and medications, he is a good listener, communicator and has a wonderful bedside manner. I feel very fortunate to have him as my provider and know that if an urgent situation came to light he would make his patients a priority.

I really appreciate Dr. Lum's bedside manner. He is very welcoming and remembers me although I only see him every three years. He has a good sense of humor and always listens to what I have to say. I think he is one of my favorite doctors. I also like to hear about his family. He us very personable. I don't know about you but when I have to go to him it's usually because I'm going to need a procedure. He does a great job explaining details to me and I feel he takes good care of my needs.

I have IBS-C and GERD that started when I was prescribed four different psychiatric medications at once. My psychiatrist feels that my symptoms are medication-related, but Dr. Lum does not, and he has not done an ROI with my psychiatrist's office. He is dismissive, interrupts me when I am explaining my symptoms, and does not seem to believe that I have GERD, despite what several other healthcare professionals have told me.

I had seen Dr Lum several times regarding a very serious case of constipation. After really no answers and no investigation as to why , I found out in 2016 that I had SIBO . When I informed him of this , he stated " I thought that might be the problem " . It was another Dr that found this out not him . Since then I finally found another Gastro Dr that deals with motility problems. I'm undergoing proper testing now , after dealing with this issue since 2015 . He FAILED me big time.

I’ve had several appointments with Dr Lum as well as preventative procedures. At each one I was treated with respect, listened to & my issues were addressed. I have always felt well taken care of by Dr Lum. He is one of the most compassionate doctors I have had. He shows concern, does not rush through appointments, explains everything so it’s easy to understand & in my case got to the bottom of my problem so I knew what was wrong and what to do to treat it. Dr Lum is the very best in my opinion!
