Today I entered the comprehensive heart failure program at Rutherford for the first time. From the receptionist to the doctor I was treated with respect, consideration, and compassion. Dr. Chomsky is a Godsend. His knowledge is unsurpassed and you can tell he really cares about you. Thanks also go out to Kathy for making sure all my questions were answered even after leaving. Thanks to all of you for bringing some happiness to this heart of mine.
My dad received an automated call from St. Thomas last Thursday CONFIRMING his scheduled appointment time for today, May 13th, only to get there and wait and wait, then find out what's going on and be told they didn't have him in the system at all for the day??? How does a hospital's automated system make a call confirming your appointment if you don't have an appointment in the system for Pete's sake? It's been awhile since we've been there, and Dr. Chomsky is responsible for that. My husband has a very rare heart disease. So rare, that in the later 90s was #7 in the United States, and most cardiologists had studied this, but never actually had a patient like this. That was 20 plus years ago and with the care of 5 doctors, literally saved my husband's life.
