Great food, bad parking Dog House has fantastic BBQ sandwiches and fries are seasoned well. Most everything I've had on their menu has been pretty great. Only issue is, the parking is horrible! It is located across from CSUF, so I imagine they were expecting most of their customers to be walk-ups. We usually have to park across the street where the parking lot is very dirty and unpleasant.
Dog House Grill is the BEST I LOVE the Dog House! Everything I have had is delicious! The prices are more than appealing and the service is quick! If you are new to Fresno the Dog House is a must! The Tri-Tip sandwich is amazing!!!
A great place near campus Doghouse has a very friendly college atmosphere due mostly to the location near CSU Fresno. The service is great and everyone finds a favorite item on the menu. Good place to watch a football or basketball game.
Busy For Good Reason This place is very good for a bbq sandwich. Busy due to being across from Fresno State. Something for everyone on the menu. Order right when you walk in and pick it up when they call your number. TV's everywhere so it's great to wacth a gam or two! Full bar also. Sandwich side and a drink for under $10.00
Best Pulled Pork if you like sweet sticky bbq sauce this place is the best. get The Pig sandwich, its the best pulled pork sandwich i've ever had. also a fun place to watch the game or have a beer.
Rebecca Great BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwiches. Bring an appetite. The portions are huge. Be warned, the restaurant is across the street from Fresno State and is packed on game nights.
Must eat Everytime I come to San Luis Obispo I come here to eat. I love the atmosphere and even though it's busy the food is made quickly and the fries are a must. The food is filling and I have yet to try something I don't like. If it's your first time - try the tri-tip sandwich. It's basically bbq sauce, steak and bread, but it's delicious.
Worth it Absolutely best tri-tip sandwiches! But we have not been in past year because I can't stand the LOUD loud-speaker and the low-budget behavior of the place. The place is so busy & congested that people start hanging close to your table staking their claim on it if you are almost finished so they can have a place to sit & eat. The busboy service can barely keep up with cleaning tabletops. And the counter workers are always yelling so they can be heard! Used to be better, and cheaper but still good If you ever visit SLO you will eat at Firestone's. It's pretty much as simple as that. Drive by during peak lunch or dinner hours and check out the line that streches out the door almost across the block. If you go at off peak hours there's usually no line and no problems finding a table, although they did just remodel the inside and have added quite a bit of seating.
