RecommendedReview of Grand Re-opening: my wife had the salad bar, but was disappointed that it did not have as many items as it used to have. The price for an unlimited plate is too high for too few items. I had the the bacon cheese burger. The meat was over cooked and was so crumbly it kept falling apart. The roll that you used for the burger was very difficult to cut. Your burgers were much better when you used to use a regular bun. The drink cups need plastic lids. They were hold their grand reopening today. They have some kinks to work out before I can recommend it. My chicken fried chicken with gravy and mashed potatoes was excellent but the salad bar was thumbs down for slimy genes and weak accoutrements. They were out of baked potatoes and several other things and we were there at 5 p.m. Their tortilla chips were awful. But my brothers goat cheese salad wrap was good. I will give them another try in a month or two.
Ordered 2 chili dogs, one burger, queso and chips, 4 teas. Almost 60 dollars. Very pricey for chili dogs and burger. Can't say we will go back.. very dissapointed
Worst to go order. So they asked if we wanted drinks. No lids. I would have said no so wasted them because cannot ride 30min home with no lids. I accepted her apology. Orders came not no go. Mine was chicken fried ribeye. Asked for gravy on side. Since not made to go it was all over it. Guy said no problem. I will remake. So it gets remade. Should have checked but I was in a hurry at this point. Got it home Chicken fried chicken and no gravy on the side. Used to love this place. Very disappointed. $58 waste.
Awesome burger but sure would love to see a grilled chicken sandwich added to the menu! Fries are amazing and the place looks so good! Glad to have D&P in Boerne!
Awesome dinning experience! The food was delicious and full of flavors that you expect from a good home grilled BBQ. But better than the food was the service...the new owner really takes pride in his restaurant, and is 100% focused on taking care of the customer. As you can see, I’m not a big Yelp’er, and It’s been quite a while since I’ve been impressed enough to provide some free marketing, but if you don’t visit the dog & pony you’re missing out!
