My son turned 12 today and wanted to eat at an amazing steak house. We told him we'd take him to Does Eat Place because it was supposed to be so good. The staff and waiter were phenomenal! The food was disappointing. My son's 1st ever file mignon was cooked perfectly. Thank God since it was his birthday dinner. However. We spent $200 on absolute trash foo!! $68 on a porterhouse steak and $38 on a NY strip. There was more fat and waste than meat.we had an 12” plate, piled 3-4” high of nothing but fat from the steaks!! Out of 3.5 lbs of meat, we probably ended up with 1lb! Bland steak with no flavor. Very impressed with the tamale appetizer. Not the greatest presentation for the amount of money we paid. I make my own and have tried them even in different restaurants and these were the best so far. We shared (18) Broiled Shrimp with French bread (yum) and we shared a 6 ounce filet mignon that was delicious and cooked perfectly. The filet was not seasoned, but that’s OK with us. Absolutely horrible. Steak overcooked. Salad dressing which is house made was overly salty. Asparagus wad cooked to death and salty. Our waiter went missing for over 30 minutes. We had to go ask someone to bring this boxes. Bussing ppl came to take our stuff away before we even had a chance to put our food in boxes like they were in a hurry all the sudden. I was literally waiting for a check and drinking my drink when the person asked me if I'm still drinking my drink. A complete waste of time and $200. We will never be back... read more
