On Thursday, this week I was invited to go to Doc's for dinner. We were three, excited to be there and sample the food we heard so much about. Our waitress was helpful she knew the menus and helped me order a Crab-stuffed Flounder...the wait time was long but still excited to try out the dish. I love the yellowfin tuna, it is the best fish that I have had so far.
The restaurant experience at Docs would have been nicer if it did not look so outdated. I was hoping to find ambiance, decent decor and furniture since I knew the prices they charge $$. We were seated right away for a family of four and it was not crowded. We were given our drinks fairly quickly, but they did not have frozen margaritas, bummer. Something about remodeling bar area. We have not been to Doc's for a while- our last trip was a disaster but due to prior wonderful experiences we decided to give it a shot for an early dinner. When we arrived I noticed that the bar area had been redesigned and simplified- we were greated immediately but asked to wait due to some servers not yet arriving for their shift. The food was out of this world. I had a ribeye and fried shrimp. The ribeye was one of the best tasting steaks I have had and I know a good steak. The shrimp....yummy. And the tarter sauce. Wow. So good. Will be back. First visit.

We had an enjoyable evening. It was sons 17 th birthday and we let him pick where he wanted to eat. He had flounder and was good and I had the crab stuffed portabella which was awesome and my husband had bacon wrapped shrimp which was great as well. Waiter was a delightful young women that seemed to like her job.

Lunch was perfection! Crab stuffed flounder, lemon rosemary new potatoes and asparagus. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned! Portions were very generous so we didn't get to try the key lime pie. Next time! Also our waitress was very attentive without hovering and the view ove the channel great!

Was really disappointed from the beginning of dinner, the appetizer of crab meat and avocado was small and small bits of small crab, they threw on onions and called it Even ,my dinner was stuffed crab and flounder was not imitation crab, the flounder was sitting in water , soggy and burned around the edges, and bland , we ordered the 4 coconut shrimp skewer, was ok , have had Better, hubby was looking for More tarter sauce to kill the taste of his way over-seasoned flounder never saw our waiter, we ordered a dessert on brown... read more
Great sautéed flounder, dirty rice, tasty French frys, lots of food on all the plates. Excellent waitress provided great service Penny is her name.
