RecommendedStopped in again for the Smoked Trout Chowder and it is truly amazing! My girlfriend tried the lobster Bisque and says it is lick the bowl clean good! Will come back to Grand Marais for just the chowder.

fresh white fish n Chips today was great. what a nice little store in a beautiful location. i wish u had the in house made dill sauce like in brainerd moreys thats my favorite and folks would love it!!
Quality of fish has changed in recent years. Doesn't taste the same (smoked and deep fried), the fish n chip baskets have also changed and are not as good.
I loved the Menominee fish and chips. It's only available Spring and Fall, but give it a try if they have it!
We had the fish and chips and local cider and also bought a bunch of smoked fish. Excellent service and food. Pickled herring, smoked lake trout, whitefish, and herring where all outstanding. Also the smoked kipper snacks ( herring strips I believe) were comparable to bacon mmmm! Thanks guys
