Don’t forget to buy some smoked fish. It is fantastic! And of course the local fish basket is delicious.

Business response:

So so good. The Fisherman’s daughter does not disappoint. Get your fresh fish to go or eat it on the patio in the coolest small town in America. The fresh fish basket is full of your choice of fresh fish. Or try a fish “ burger” of either the classic or my favorite the pickled uncle. You don’t want to leave town without going her for lunch or dinner.

The Pickled Uncle sandwich is one of my favorite things I've eaten in Grand Marais! Fried herring topped with pickled herring, pickles, sea salt & vinegar potato chips and relish, all on a hoagie. Don't be scared, just try it. So so sooooo good.

Brought the family to The Fisherman’s Daughter this afternoon. Wow. Amazing herring fish and chips. I can’t recommend this establishment enough to anyone visiting Grand Marais. The service was awesome and truly embodies the North Shore.

The smoked whitefish and chips was awesome, best ever. Your cheese curds are definitely just like Wisconsin nice and squeaky. If you have left over curds just put them in micro and they are wonderful. I also bought some candied smoked salmon. What a wonderful taste. Thanks for a great meal. Marcia Lacey!!!

Business response:

We had our first take-home order tonight from TFD. An anticipated meal that was well worth the wait. The fish was delicately breaded and fried excellently leaving it moist without being oily. The fries were the perfect size; crisp and delicious. My wife had the clam strips and I have to say that they were some of the best we've ever had. So many seafood places just can't get clams right. They're either oily or chewy from being cooked too long or just not fresh. That is not the case at TFD. These were crafted from a place of ... read more
