Used to be alright, new management made it unbearable. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else.
The new management has caused everything to exponentially decline. One of the elevators has been out the past few weeks and zero effort has been made to rectify the situation. Also, the selection and quality of food is terrible. The one bright spot, is the location. Unless management makes drastic changes in fixing the food and the broken fixtures such as the elevator, I do not recommend living here.
I was a transfer student coming into UT and I lived at Dobie my first year here. I really enjoyed the student friendly atmosphere, not to mention Dobie is so close to campus!
After a change in management, both the quality and quantity of food in the cafeteria has diminished. I really do enjoy my room, my RA, and the community as a whole, but it seems like nothing we say or do has resulted in any noticeable changes -- excluding the "facelift" in the cafeteria. I recommended Dobie to my friends that will be attending UT next fall, and unfortunately I regret doing so.
