Dobie has so many problems, I'm not going to lie. The elevators break down multiple time and people get stuck in it. There was a huge flood in our bathroom which made it completely useless and maintenance didn't come to fix it until 3 weeks later! I would have given it 2 stars, however, one the RA's, Chris D, is the sole reason Im giving it 4 stars. Every time we would have a problem, I knew that we could always go to him to get things done. Kamari is one of the best RAs here at Dobie! She truly knows how to interact with each guest that walks through those doors. Even though Kamari isn't my floors RA she still makes that effort to make sure my stay here is great!
I wish that the management worked as hard at keeping existing tenants through good maintenance and responsiveness as they do at recruiting new tenants. I understand that it is an old building. But air conditioning has been out for weeks, and it is affecting student performance. Calls to management are ineffective. The elevators continually malfunction. Dobie has a great location, but the fact that so many first year tenants are looking to leave only two months into the school year is a pretty strong indicator that they aren’... read more
