We bought a unique vacant lot in Grand Haven close to Lake Michigan. After building 2 previous homes, where we struggled with numerous issues, we were very cautious about selecting the builder for this project for what we desired to be our "forever home". We are very happy with our DK Home. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent from the materials used during construction down to the painting, trim, and finishes. We get a lot of compliments on our home. We love the covered concrete porch off of the dining room too. That adds a nice touch!
We are probably the smallest job BK Homes has done with a new dormer/roof design/build but you would never know. Their communication with us and management of with their contractors was excellent as were the individuals we worked with. I've said multiple times they treated us as if we were building a new home. Excellent experience with DK Homes from start to finish! Very clear and timely communication throughout the process, loved all of the vendors and our designer Katie and our home turned out beautiful! Very high quality work and enjoyable to work with. They handled every one of our crazy custom finishes with ease!
The BEST experience I have ever had. We were expecting a lot of issues, based on friends who had worked with other builders, but this could not have gone any smoother. Literally, hassle free! Sure there are decisions to be made but from Ben D with his design expertise and Jay D as head of ops, they totally have their act together.
