This place is usually a family staple. They are loosing their touch. The white rice was not fully cooked. And the food lacked the authentic sezchuean flavor. Everything was terrible
Food is literally inedible tonight. Got General chicken and it must have been done and a million percent dried out just covered in sauce. Also didn't follow any of the order notes.
Bought the Eight Treasure Congee and the Born In Chicken on Doordash, and the packaging was so terrible that the soup for the chicken was spilled everywhere. Foodwise, the chicken was decent but definitely did not worth the price. The biggest issue is with the congee, which is oversweet and by no means authentic. I grew up drinking eight treasure congees and cooked them myself too, but in no way should cashews be part of the ingredients. Please follow traditional recipes. 1 out of 5 for the food.
We ordered our food through the DJ Kitchen website at 5:00pm today. It is currently 8:00pm, and we haven’t been notified that our order was even accepted. Don’t worry though; payment was taken immediately. They also won’t answer the phone at all. Don’t offer online ordering if you won’t ever fulfill the orders.
