Billed as a finer diner, this small, newly beloved neighborhood eatery has people standing in line on weekends. Weekdays, it is crowded with locals sampling delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Familiar dishes are made with a twist: try the chocolate-stuffed French toast, macaroni and cheese topped with Rice Krispies or wild mushroom lasagna. If you want more conventional fare, there is always the omelet by design (you choose the fillings), tuna salad nicoise, portobello burger or vegetarian dishes. The service is warm, an... read more

Watch Out, you pay more than what you really get – If you go there, please CHECK YOUR BILL. It's often (2 out of 3) wrong - they add easily some dollars. The service is not good, and regarding the food, you can find better.
Bigot – Ive been coming to dizzy's for the las 3 years and i really love it. theire mac and chees is to die for! and i like the staff as well...but a few days ago i heard through the grapevine that the day time counter woman the one the the shaved head came in to dizzy's and started insulting a black staff member with the N word. Worst Service – I was a regular customer of Dizzy's for the three and a half years I've been living in Park Slope. Then today I just went in to get a cup of coffee. I was completely ignored. I was the only one standing at the register. All I wanted was a cup of coffee. The cashier was in a long winded conversation with one of the wait staff. He smiled at me and said hi, and then simply went on with his conversation. So I walked out. I guess I will have to find a new coffee place. Such a shame that such a wonderful neighborho... read more
Pretty good, but not all that – Waiting for a Sunday brunch table, I felt like I was back in LA. Not sure if it was the weather, the decor, or clientel. Probably a bit of each. I really felt like this was a an LA restaurant los feliz or melrose. I'm not saying that's a bad thing or good, just a vibe. The food was plentiful, but what bothered me is it's not much more than a good breafast spot, but feels like it want to be more. Thick grainy house toast accompanied my poached eggs (three) problem was they use vinegar to ccok t... read more
Once a favortie -- now OFF THE LIST -- Nothing Neighborly about this Neighborhood spot. – We live in the neighborhood and use to go to Dizzy's three times a week. When it got to be like an abusive relationship we stopped. And I have to strongly disagree with the reviewer who said it's a different place during the week. It's bad all week long. Yesterday we went back to see if things had changed. Still the same surly wait staff. It must be managment policy. On yesterday's "Let's give it another chance" visit It was my friend's... read more
Poor Service – I am sorry to say that we experienced poor service at Dizzy's this past Sunday for brunch. My friends were visiting from out of town and I decided to wow them with a filling and inventive Sunday brunch at the end of their visit. Host and food were great, but the waitress rushed us to order (and later, to pay), forgot our drinks, and snatched up the tip while we were still finishing our coffee and proceeded to tell us to move along because they needed the table. Meanwhile, the couples on either side of us had b... read more
Weekends bad, rest of week good! – Complaints about Dizzy's brunch are well-founded, but it's an entirely different place during the week. I would never dream of going there on a weekend, and I live pretty close to the place. During the week the place is welcoming, usually not overcrowded, and not overpriced, which is why I find myself there at least once a week. The food is always good to very good and the service is always friendly at worst. It's also a different experience for dinner, when they class up the joint a bit wi... read more
Dizzy is the worst – Dizzy is perhaps the worst place to get brunch. The waits is long, waitstaff rude and food mediocre. We went there on a sunday for brunch. It took the hostess 10 mintues before she even took our names down. Once we were seated a rude waiter handled us dirty (with food sticking on the backside) menus. To top it off the menu for brunch is pre-fix, you have to pay $13 and get coffee and juice even though all you want is some eggs. This is the worst place. Do not go there, there are plenty of other options i... read more
