Billed as a finer diner, this small, newly beloved neighborhood eatery has people standing in line on weekends. Weekdays, it is crowded with locals sampling delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Familiar dishes are made with a twist: try the chocolate-stuffed French toast, macaroni and cheese topped with Rice Krispies or wild mushroom lasagna. If you want more conventional fare, there is always the omelet by design (you choose the fillings), tuna salad nicoise, portobello burger or vegetarian dishes. The service is warm, an... read more

The staff is so friendly and the food is giod
favorite brunch spot – I love Dizzy;s and I admit I am a fan. For lunch or dinner I'm addicted to their house salad, with field greens goat cheese, raisins and pine nuts and the house dressing is so amazing I buy it by the quart. The brunch is a mix of good hearty food and Park slope chic, like Eggs-bene-diz. Count on it being crowded and plan to have an hour of waiting time. It's worth it - great selection, home made mini muffins and fresh squeezed OJ.
Great Hole in the Wall Brunch – Everything on the menu is very good. You will just have to wait a long time to get a seat.
so sad... – I was standing on line at CVS tonight, when I overheard a couple talking..." Did you hear, Julie is leaving Dizzy's"? I immediatly turned my head and engaged in their conversation. If you never met Julie, you have missed out. She has worked there for many years and has made me coffee and has ALWAYS made me laugh. I hear she is persuring a career which is amazing, she deserves so much more than apologing on why they don't have sip tops on their coffee lids. The sad thing is, is that everyone else who works the cou... read more
Long Wait, Bad Service, Mediocre Food – We have lived in Park Slope for 2 years and we have given Dizzy's four chances at impressing us. So far, no good. The things I expect from a place like this are as follows: somewhat friendly service; good eggs; clean; fast. This place has had none of those. Unfortunately, there is always a huge line here since Park Slope lacks decent brunch restaurants, and we are all desperate. Second, once you do sit, the tables are packed and everyone is glaring at your while you eat because everyon... read more
Terrific local restaurant – I've been a regular customer and fan of Dizzy's since they opened on my block those many years ago. I have an addiction to their ruben sandwich which I occasional offset with their yummy turkey club. The cranberry sauce makes this a standout. I also love the huevos rancheros for brunch - I have no idea if it would be considered authentic, but it sure is a tasty dish with the vegetarian chili. I don't eat it so often since my daughter arrived and waiting among the crowds for their popular brunch pe... read more
Still Delicious and Our Nieghborhood Goto Place – I was flipping through some of my favorite neighborhood places and thought I should write something down about this little place. We consistantly find the food to be delicious and worth every cent. It is one of those places that we can be sure we will get a good to great meal each time we go. And we have gone A LOT. It has been around for almost 10 years (eek that means I've aged 10 years since it opened). My husband and/or I (with or without kids) have been coming at least o... read more
Good food cooked well – I love this place, in the 10 years I've been eating there I've not had a bad meal. I love the counter staff & the waitstaff, they spend time making sure our visit is a good one & are really patient with my young daughter. The corned beef hash is the real thing & the Mexican eggs are to die for. Classics like the Rubin & Meatloaf are staples in my diet. They get really busy for brunch so i prefer to go at the quieter times in the early evening.
great hash – We looked forward to Dizzy's opening back in the day, often travel from Eastern Parkway to eat there, had them provide food for a couple of family events, and although the crowds keep us away sometimes, we find the people friendly, the food great. Of course, in a neighborhood place like that, the service isn't always super fast and sometimes I suppose they make math errors. Once, we had a birthday dinner there and I forgot to tip the guy. He gently let me know, which I was really glad for and we made it up to hi... read more
