Pull up a chair at Dixon's Famous Chili Parlor. Located in Independence, MO, we've been serving scrumptious bowls of chili since 1919. Dixon's Chili is served just the same as that first order in 1919: On a plate, beans first, then our homemade and secretly seasoned chili meat. Try it dry, juicy, soupy, or anything in between. The regulars also dive into our daily all-you-can-eat tacos for $7.95, tamales covered in chili goodness, Spaghetti Chili, or the Burrito Deluxe stuffed with meat, refried beans, crispy lettuce, shredd... read more

Love, love, love. I may have eaten 7 tacos on my first ever trip there!!!!
Ill be back!! Gonna do all you can eat tacos next time.
Very good food and service! First time there and was really pleased!
Tacos. All you can eat if you want. Simple, no frills, and tasty. Seriously, try the tacos. The chili is not traditional so be ready to make it how you want it. The burrito is awesome too, but this is a chili parlor not a Mexican place so realize it will be different. It is a historic place so go for the feel of an old cafe or diner and have some good food.
Wonderful chili and you can get it any way you want it! Whether you get it dry, juicy or soupy it's all good. You can choose to have beans or no beans and also get it over spaghetti. Top quality taste and the staff was very friendly. It will be a regular stop for me from now on. Harry Truman and I have the same birthday, so if it's good enough for Harry, it's good enough for me!
Came here from out of town because I heard this was the place to go in KC! I had the burger and it was thin, burnt and had no taste. My dad had the chili with spaghetti noodles and the chili was also dry. Very disappointing
Nothing better then a tamale spread on a rainy day, or any day for that matter. Food is great and staff is terrific. One of our favorite doors
I haven't actually tried there chili. I love getting their all you can eat taco special for $7.95. Get four at a time, refill to you hearts content and squirt on some salsa to go with it.
There's a saying about eating where the cops and truckers eat because the food will be good. That applies here. This ain't my momma's chili, but with the optional "adders" you can customize it into the chili that fits your needs.
