DCINY, through its dynamic team, is allowing thousands of amateur singers to experience quality musical performances in the most prestigious places with people from all over the world. Through that, it promotes unity and peace. Our choir has participated in four concerts and hope to be able to join again as soon as the sanitary situation allows. We are grateful and thank the entire team. Wish them also all the best as I guess to present situation must affect you as it does the entire cultural world.

Well, it’s been five months and Covid or not this company states in black-and-white that they will refund if they cancel a concert. My son and his entire college traveling group was canceled for March at Lincoln center. This entire package was handled by DCINY. I finally got the air portion taken care of by handling it myself with Delta. I am to be $790 concert fee and $450 for hotel. I hate to say it but at this point I think they’re just wanting to take my money and call it a day. I have heard that they may give back 25% a... read more

Business response:

Hello Ms. Hodge. A member of our team will reach out directly to provide more details, but please know that DCINY has been in regular contact with the ensemble director and trip coordinator since the cancellations were announced in March. The timeline for your ensemble’s details have already been confirmed and the process is underway. We truly appreciate the understanding and spirit of collaboration that we have received from the ensembles and their membership through this incredibly trying time in the performing arts. The C... read more

This is the organization’s darkest hour. They have shown their true colors during the pandemic. Hardworking school and community choirs who raised funds to attend the TOTAL VOCAL series did not receive refunds when DCINY cancelled the concerts. After some pressure and legal action some groups received 50% . Dciny have kept their incomes while the hardworking students and choir hopefuls are suffering heartbreaking financial hardship. I am hoping no group considers ever dealing with this organization EVER. They should be impri... read more

Horrible company!!! Our school paid them well over 300k and covid hit and will refund only 50% of money! Stay away from this company. Horrible what they have done to all the kids and parents that gave them money.

Church productions in November 2020 are canceled due to COVID-19 which is totally understandable. What is NOT understandable is failing to refund people's hard earned money and saying it's simply being delayed a YEAR from now. Totally unacceptable and possibly illegal. Only a NY firm would take advantage of people like this. Do the right thing and refund people their hard earned money during these difficult economic times.

DCINY is acting in bad faith, and to me this strikes me if nothing else as an inept piece of public relations on their part. We paid our initial deposits of for the Messiah concert (November 2020) in good faith. The concert has been cancelled, so we feel we are entitled to full reimbursement. The fact that Carnegie Hall cancelled and not DCINY strikes me as immaterial. DCINY is trying to profit from the coronavirus pandemic by choosing to hold on to hundreds of thousands of dollars in deposits instead of properly returning t... read more

This company is going to make a fortune off of Cancelled concerts. They are not refunding kids money that they worked tirelessly doing fundraising to raise money to be able to go sing in NY. How greedy of people are y’all? Their are families that made sacrifices to pay for their child to be able to take this trip. But do to foreseen Pandamic our trip was cancelled. How do you think this is ok to keep people’s money for a trip that cannot even happen and rebooking it is not an option. I will never support any function that th... read more
