We cannot recommend Mike and Distinctive Wood Floors highly enough. Mike dropped by to look at a 2' x 8' section of floors to which a low quality rug pad had become attached. Pulling up the pad left a mess of felt and adhesive stuck to the polyurethane surface. We expected Mike to recommend resurfacing or replacing the damaged section. Instead, Mike explained that the combination of denatured alcohol, plastic scrapers and a lot of elbow grease would solve the problem. 24 hours later, the floor looks great. They bring knowledge and expertise to an industry with many nuances of products and existing conditions. They have done new installs on solid hardwood, engineered, laminate and LVP for me. Today the service van (license plate ending in MZN) sped past on hwy 97. The road was iced and the variable speed limit was posted at 45 mph. The "danger, ice" signs were also illuminated. The driver was doing at least 10 mph over the speed limit. This person doesn't care about following the law, taking care of their vehicle, or about the safety of other drivers sharing the road...
