We had a dinner reservation for Christmas Eve. The food and service was good. We picked the restaurant because we thought that it would be festive and romantic. I hadn't been there in years, and we were greatly disappointed, as we were seated upstairs in what felt like the attic, brightly lighted, with not one Christmas decoration. Unfortunately this experience soured us to the elegant restaurant that I remembered as a kid. We will not be back.
Wendy got a cold steak. Literally cold. Really! Like it just came out of the refrigerator. The lamb chops were big, but did not have much flavor. The atmosphere was nice, the service was nice, but very slow. Not the servers fault, definitely kitchens fault. The place did not serve cheesecake, what?
For an upscale restaurant the seating was not the greatest. Isolated us to room with no other customers and sat us next to a drafty window.
Hands down has been our favorite fine dining restaurant for the past 30 years. When you experience the best food, impeccable service and ambiance that just cannot be found elsewhere you don't want to waste the time trying out a cold, sterile atmosphere where the service is subpar and food you feel guilty for wasting your money.
I have been going to Dillsworth Inn for more then 10 years and can easily say that the staff and food compare to any 5 star international restaurant. Love the Caesar salad, the meat cuts and the ambience!
The Dilworthtown Inn is one of my favorite restaurants. It's got it all atmosphere great food and impeccable service. We've never had a bad experience and we've been many many times. Everything is expertly prepared and they have mashed potatoes that are to die for. It may sound funny but they really are amazing. The filet mignon melts in your mouth. The lobster was wonderful I could go on and on. As I said I've never had a bad meal here.
We had ordered the Chateaubriand for 2 cooked medium. It was over and hour before it arrived. It came extremely overcooked and was very dried out. No pink in sight. For $90 it was a huge dissapointment.
The atmosphere was perfect for my wife's and my one year anniversary. The food was super. And the service was prompt, professional, and not pushy.
Very cozy! Food was absolutely amazing! Great service! Would definitely recommend to anyone!
