Editorial fromLocals like Dick's as much for the memories as for the burgers. One of five vintage 1950s drive-ins in the greater Seattle area, the menu has featured classic burgers---served one way only, with ketchup, mustard and a pickle, no special…

Yuck! I can not stand Dick's drive in. The food is greasy and nearly always makes me sick. I can not recommend this to any other person. Sorry.
Up late want something This is a great place to be able to get a burger early in the morning or late night. When I work late night I love to be able to go here and get the best late night burger. There is always a line that I have seen there, I am not sure I have been there when there hasn't been a line, but it is well worth the wait.
Oh, how I love me some Dicks! – If you aren't afraid of a little (or a lot of) grease, their fries are some of the best in Seattle. Also, their Dick's Special Hamburger is cheap and tasty - their special sauce is so good! It's hard to stop their, though, when they have really good shakes in a variety of flavors for only $1.30 more. For fast American food they are much tastier than McDonald's, cheaper and you're supporting a local business that has demonstrated exceptional ethics throughout their history in the Seattle area. ... read more
A Seattle Original - good burgers, shakes and fries So where do you find a long line for burgers at 11 AM and 2 AM? It would have to be Dick's, which seems to be Seattle's answer to White Castle. Pretty good, straightforward burgers, very good fries, and outstanding shakes. I didn't grow up with it, so it just seems like good burgers to me, but watch the lines, and you know it's just in some people's blood. It's fun too, and the service is awesomely quick. They have a great reputation for taking care of their workers and it ... read more
You smell it, you know what it'll be like My boyfriend and his friends make it a regular sport to stop by Dicks and eat a whole bag of hamburgers and fries after they've been out on the town. I can't do this (how many girls can?) because I would feel much worse than if I didn't eat anything. The food is really greasy, but unfortunately, it tastes pretty good and continues to attract people all the more.
Dick's is a wonderful Seattle tradition! I can't imagine Seattle without Dick's drive in. Not only is it extremely affordable, but it's very unique. Everytime I've spent a few hours on Broadway in and out of my favorite shops a stop at Dick's is a must. I'll never forget the time I saw an interview on a national TV program where Bill Gates was being interviewed and it was at Dick's on Broadway! That just goes to show that everybody eats at Dick's. Their milkshakes are hard to beat and the burgers are the bomb!
There's nothing more fun than a Saturday night out on the town, especially when there is good cheap food to be had. Dick's provides the great old-time drive in feel with good food at good prices. A fun place to meet friends, hang out, and snag a snack,Dick's is a Seattle favorite.
stop and eat at Dicks! – There is nothing like Dick's for a hometown burger, Coca-Cola, and fries. This steadfast burger joint has the same great burgers, charming appearance and great service that it had the day they opened up decades ago. A visit at any Seattle area Dick's location is a genuine treat, but there's an intangible special something that gives the Broadway location the edge, even as the neighborhood slowly socially deteriorates. I no longer live in the Seattle area, but Dick's on Broadway is a "must-stop" in my... read more
The best locally owned fast food place in the city of Seattle. Celebrating 50 years in business it has outlasted others with there fresh cut french fries (the skin is on them), thick old fashioned milkshakes, and tasty burgers at low prices. A simple menu thats easy to order from and not like the rocket science the giant fast food places have. The owners are great to thier employees and great to the community. To bad the Queen Anne loacation is the only sit down place.
