Dick's Drive-in

4.4

About this business

Editorial fromLocals like Dick's as much for the memories as for the burgers. One of five vintage 1950s drive-ins in the greater Seattle area, the menu has featured classic burgers---served one way only, with ketchup, mustard and a pickle, no special…

stop and eat at Dicks! – There is nothing like Dick's for a hometown burger, Coca-Cola, and fries. This steadfast burger joint has the same great burgers, charming appearance and great service that it had the day they opened up decades ago. A visit at any Seattle area Dick's location is a genuine treat, but there's an intangible special something that gives the Broadway location the edge, even as the neighborhood slowly socially deteriorates. I no longer live in the Seattle area, but Dick's on Broadway is a "must-stop" in my... read more

The best locally owned fast food place in the city of Seattle. Celebrating 50 years in business it has outlasted others with there fresh cut french fries (the skin is on them), thick old fashioned milkshakes, and tasty burgers at low prices. A simple menu thats easy to order from and not like the rocket science the giant fast food places have. The owners are great to thier employees and great to the community. To bad the Queen Anne loacation is the only sit down place.

Dick's drive-in Rocks! – I have been traveling around the US for the last four years, and I just have to say that Dick's rocks. It's great to go to a restarante that's so efficient, and still has great tasting food! I've been to plenty of restarantes that give you great food, but their efficiency sucks, and vice versa. Dick's has it all!!!

Dick's ain't Dads, but it's good enough – I can eat a cheeseburger at almost any meal, but sometimes I want my Dad's backyard best. I want the thick, juicy, flame-grilled taste with all the fixins. I don't go to Dick's when I want that. But, I do go there when all I want is some greasy tid-bit to satisfy that part of me that sometimes just craves junk food. The best part about Dick's is that it's unbelievabley low-priced and refreshingly noncomplex. The fries are a tad off-the-beaten path, which is good, and the service is e... read more

Dick's is fabulous! – I'm salivating just thinking about those limp, greasy fries and burgers oozing with special sauce. Any trip to or passing Seattle involves a side trip to Dick's to feast on cheap, oh-so-satisfying burgers, fries and shakes. YUM!

Limp and greasy is good? Of course – Limp, greasy and salty fries and burger is the whole point. If you don't like greasy fat stuff and concerned about your health over saulty fatty fast food you are in a wrong place and you should be eating subway instead. If you love sinfully fatty, greasy burger and saulty fries like rest of us you will love the dicks.

Limp and greasy is good? – When I started seeing these top 10 burger lists on the internet, I thought "Woo hoo... a great way to find the best food when I want to try someplace new." Then I saw Dick's Drive-In on the list and realized I couldn't count on other people's opinions to steer me in the right direction. The burgers are flat and mangled and dripping with grease. The fries are indeed limp and greasy, but I have a hard time thinking of that as a "good thing". Dick's is fine when you're low on cash or just need a quick... read more

GIVE ME DICKS!! – I moved to Seattle from Dallas and was introduced to Dick's Hamburgers and immediately fell in love! Their hamburgers are to die for, not to mention the french fries with EXTRA tarter sauce! Yum! Okay, and the shakes are so, so good! I am hooked!
