I was not told up front how much things would cost and i was charged way too much money for a wash and go. I paid $175 for something I could have done at home. I feel cheated and frustrated. Products used can be bought online. Rip offs

YASMINE!! Never disappoints!! She has true love for us curly girls. I got my 1st deva cut today, my birthday btw, & I LOVE LOVE IT!! Yasmine thank you for your extraordinary abilities & yes I'm still trying to figure out how you cut hair holding the scissors the way you do, lol.

Yasmine was amazing! I came in with little knowledge of great hair care for natural hair. It was severely damaged from heat and chemicals and since I went today and had a big chop! I feel so rejuvenated!! Thank you so much Yasmine! I can’t wait to get color ❤️

I had an appointment about 2 years ago. They're great with caring for the health of the hair but one of the stylist's attitude bothered me a bit. They had a policy about bringing guests that I forgot about and I brought my bf with me. As soon I got there they brought up the policy which was fine so I asked my bf to wait outside. But after I sat in the chair one woman talked to me angrily about how I should've read all of their policies. But I didn't think her attitude was appropriate since I didn't argue at all about that po... read more

Hi Chantel, thank you for your feedback. I want to apologize for your experience with us two years ago. We've definitely gotten better with our communication since then. Again, my apologies for your experience. We would love to have you back to provide you with a better experience. Please consider it! Thank you again for the feedback! ♥

This salon's name should be changed from "Diaspora" to "Black Girl Get Yo Money". As a new client, I read their instructions on how to prepare my hair for their service of $140 to get my natural hair done(my 7 year old was puzzled that i had to do my hair to get my hair done). I also read on their website that if you didn't properly prepare your hair they would do it for $75. I get to their beautiful salon, sit in the owners chair and she proceeded to look at me and feel my hair as if it was a scene from coming to America. S... read more

Business response:

Maisha, I'm so sorry you feel this way. Please be prepared, as this is a longggg response. We absolutely want our clients to set themselves up for success by following our 3- step at home prep instructions. If you use oils/ butters/ silicones on your hair, we do require at- home preparation to remove those water- blockers off the hair to get the results clients look for us to give. Clients also need to arrive to the salon with the hair in a Wash & Go, as the cut is based on how your hair naturally falls while in that style. ... read more

Visited this salon yesterday and my experience was AMAZING!! So warm and welcoming!! Leah was the absolute best! The trip was well worth the 1 hr 25 minute commute from Delaware! This would so be my regular salon if I lived in the area! Plan to visit again as soon as my schedule permits.
