Always delicious, always friendly staff. Such a cute spot. Well worth the trip!
Very friendly staff (THANKS, Megan!) and the food was phenomenal. I had the coconut BLT while my husband had the Soul Platter and the okra stew. I need cooking lessons in soul food (I’ve been a vegan for 4 years with no regrets). We will be back for sure the next time we are in Detroit (we are from Bay City). Thanks for a great eating experience!
The food what good, it was my first time eating as a vegan.
I enjoyed the food. It was delicious. I was amazed at how much vegan food has evolved. I had the Seitan Peppersteak with Sesame Broccoli, Ryla’s Paradise Smoothie with Coconut water, and a slice of Snickerdoodle cake. The Peppersteak tasted similar to beef Peppersteak. If I become vegan or want more vegan food, I will definitely return to Detroit Vegan Soul.

I stopped by the Detroit Vegan Soul restaurant for dinner. It was my first time there and I HIGHLY recommend this place! I felt right at home as a Vegan 🌱 because the food was amazing. I’ve been attempting to visit this restaurant for years and I’m glad I was able to eat there the night before Freep. The Bacon ranch southern fried tofu wrap was. absolutely delicious. I am satisfied and full.
