Totally remodeled, spotlessly clean and the new beds are so comfortable. I have been going to the Desert Sands for 26 yrs. and I plan on continuing for many more years. It’s 1 block to the beach and has the outdoor and indoor pools. Can’t wait to go back.
This review is from July 2018 ..... I have been coming to Desert Sand for well over 30 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else . I love the area and the resort . It's clean and friendly . I love that it's so close to the beach and places for entertainment. One complaint I had was The couch that opens to a bed was quite uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. Also the WIFI is horrible. We love it there. We have been going for about 20 years and have never had any problems. Staff is always lovely and most welcoming. Sad it's going condos now but I guess that's progress.
My mother and I stayed here a few weeks ago. The room was very nice and very clean. Maid service was great also. The one problem is they were doing construction right outside of our room every morning that we were there. Starting before 8 am. I have a video of the men working. My mother being the nice person that she is did not complain or tell anyone until the day we checked out. The woman at the front desk did not even offer an apology. place was clean, the staff friendly. The pool was delightful after a day at the beach
Clean. Ice is easily accsessible. Refrigerator in the smaller rooms too. Quick walk to awesome clean beach and a couple excellent bars and restaurants. WAWA down the street for coffee and a quick uber to Stone Harbor. I Will return.
Such friendly staff....clean, comfortable perfect place to stay! Here's to many more years of "girls week" at the Desert Sands!!
