Perfect place for a 28th Wedding Anniversary get away! Loved our stay. Beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. Front desk manager made dinner reservations for us at a local seafood place, arranging a quiet, romantic table. Well done Des Lux Des Moines! We will stay again.
We stayed there on the night of our wedding for one night, checking out the next morning. We later found out we got charged an extra $75 dollars. They claimed that $25 dollars worth was for 3 beers and 2 waters. We only opened 1 bottle of water, as seeing they cost $3.00 to even open and drink one. We didn't use any other beverages. They couldn't figure out what the $50 was for that they charged us. They said they would call us back regarding the matter, but they have not called. LOVE!!We had my daughters wedding pre pary rehersal dinner and guests stay here and it was amazing!!great service !breakfast! Attention to detail!
My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary here. Our room was perfect (we went for a corner suite) and the staff was pleasant. We will definitely recommend to others and plan to be back!
We have stayed at several hotels in Des Moines and We think this is the nicest hotel. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are super comfy. The chef makes the best omelets for breakfast!! Also parking is very convenient and the staff is very friendly. We will continue to make this our hotel of choice when we visit Des Moines
