RecommendedCozy little place on 8th Ave. in hospital district. Nothing fancy (decor) but, the food is good. I had a brisket sandwich w/a side of slaw and potato salad. And, I had leftovers! It was convenient to bus line so, easy to get there and back home again. Would I go back? possibly.

A little overpriced, a little underwhelming. Brisket sliced from the point was inordinately fatty (>2” on a 4” slices), and the bread crumbs on the chipotle Mac (didn’t note any of the ‘chipotle’) were burnt. 1/2 lb and Mac set me back about $17.

What you probably want is lean brisket.. it's very hard to predict, judge what every person wants exactly as we serve it out.. we try our best though. Sadly, this place was a disappointment. I had a brisket sandwich. The meat was chopped when I asked for a sliced sandwich. The meat was cold and the flavor was not good. Maybe I am not a fan of the rub? I would recommend numerous other places before this.

We had a few communication issues go wrong which we're still working out the kinks and adjusting to the traffic being recently open. I had a chance today to go by there during lunch. My coworkers and I went there just to look but we couldn't resist the wonderful aroma. we had a small plate of the brisket and ribs. Excellent flavor. Very tender and juicy. We will be back for more and to try the rest of the menu.
