My grandmother was in this facility several times over the years. In the past with few or no complaints. However, her last stay there went very differently with family unable to enter the facility to ascertain the state of her welfare or advocate on her behalf. Calls went unanswered and unreturned. There was no communication even when they stopped physical therapy or when she all but stopped eating. When we brought her home she was covered in bruises, scrapes, and sores. RecommendedI cannot say enough positive things about DHR. I have had many family members in for rehab and longer stays. My 47 year old brother is currently a long term resident and during this time of quarantine DHR has gone above and beyond to keep residents healthy and safe. it is tough to live through this stay at home period and I worry about my brother being isolated from family but every time I talk with him he is happy and in good spirits. THANK YOU DHR for everything you all do. it does NOT go unnoticed!
My mom has been there for over 3 years and I have been very pleased with her care!! She has dementia and they are all so sweet to her and so helpful! I could not ask for better care and I highly recommend DHR. Thank you to all of the staff for making a home for my mom!
Well, My Mother In Law was just transported there from St Joe and night one I saw a gentleman go without eating (obvious he couldn’t eat for himself).. My mother in laws first meal was supper and consisted of Luke warm hot dog , peaches, and 10 cold fries. Staff really seemed detached and waiting for the shift to be over. Maybe Day 2 will be better
Great care by all staff. Made you feel loved and part of a family. The meals were like home cooked and comforting. Therapists helped you work toward and achieve your goals.
