When your best friend comes in from California and you want to treat her to a nice dinner, you go to the depot grill in Lynchburg! They had everything ready for me in less than 30 minutes ready for takeout. Now we can relax and catch up, what a great flight!
Great Atomosphere! Great food and presentation. Very good customer service and server assistance. Very nice open feeling and love the old church pews for seating.
The food was so good we ate here two days in a row! The staff was very nice as well.
While the food was decent, the service was disgraceful. Today on September 11, 2016 my husband, an Army vet, went in to order us food to take out. When he went to pay for the food he politely asked if they give military discounts. The cashier said that she thought they might and asked the man behind her. His response "NO. NO way!" While we have no problem with hearing that a business does not give discounts and continue to shop and dine at them anyway, a business that rudely goes out of its way to say not only no but NO. I went for the first time last night, and It was great, awsome service, table waiting when we got there, on top of the Friday cheers and Harley Davidson event going on too, our server handled our large group of 12. I'm very pleased with the entire trip.
We have made " Depot Grille " one of our favorite places to eat and just hang out and talk to new friends and old. Always liked this spot so much because of the owner Dave Poole and staff make you feel like you have made it back home. We have been regulars for years now and loved it so much I convinced them to talk to my daughter about employment, where she has worked for more than a year and a half.
