I am a retired mental health counselor . I asked for help in facing the hurdles if jealous and help connecting to an appropriate social group. I was thinking support to volunteer, offer a class, work on my novel. Instead, Jasmine the social worker thought it appropriate to recommend a mental health support group even after I pre taught her about patholgizung me. I am a mental health counselor myself. I tried seeing someone here to talk about some problems I've been having last year (yes, we therapists need therapy sometimes too. I am including this information to lend credence to what I say in the next paragraph). The guy they placed me with (Charles Allen) no-showed on my intake appointment. I waited online for 20 minutes, and he never got on. It is what it is... I was a patient here for about a year. I think people expect more than this place can provide to be honest. It's a clinic, not a hospital. It's also a government agency. Just make the effort to get all your paperwork in order and you will be fine. Step 1, enrollment. Step 2, see your Primary Care for a referral. Step 3, come ready to listen. Step 4, accept the limitations of a clinic run by the government. There is red tape, there are limited resources, and it is frustrating for everyone involved. Flippin... read more
