I purchased this dental discount card and believe it is a scam. Having the card does not actually give you a discount at all. My dentist told me that these memberships are worthless. The discount on my services yesterday was 5%. My dentist gives a better discount than the card. Hopefully people will think through this before purchasing. Why would me buying a membership for a dental discount cause a dentist to charge me less? Ha!
I already had a dentist selected for my child as well as an orthodontist. My wife and I still haven't seen a dentist, I showed them the insurance card and the first thing they tell me is that it's not an insurance card and they don't accept it. no savings and I ended up paying full price
I used this service a couple years ago. They said my dentist was listed. A couple months after I bought the card, I went to the dentist. They said they never accepted this discount card. No refund. Today, I went to the site. I entered the (new) specific dentist name and the zip code and the plan. They showed me the "typical" savings of approximately 50% even though they knew full well the deal they negotiated with this dentist was only approx. 15%. They KNEW the dentist and yet still showed me discounts they knew this denti... read more

I am a licensed life and health agent and have been using DentalPlans for over 10 years. I have not had any problems with them, but have always experienced substantial savings with each visit.
Unlike the others here, I was not unhappy with the coverage I received. My dentist was listed as accepting, and was. This plan saved me a considerable amount of money on a few procedures I needed done. However, and the reason for four stars, my place of employment started offering full dental coverage. I was going to just let my DentalPlans.com plan expire, but I visited my profile on their website to see if I could delete my profile. While I couldn't achieve that, I did notice that under the "Renewal Preferences" the option... read more
Terrible company. Spent $170 for a year plus a month free. It expired after a month and after talking to 2 very rude people telling me it was my fault and the way I signed up a nice lady said she helped up but it is still saying it expired after only a month of discount. They were so nice as to let me know their special and if I renewed now I could get 3 months free. I got a month of a discount plan for $170 why would I give you anymore money?
This is not a reputable company. At last renewal, they convinced me to do a two year renewal. When I recently obtained coverage under my wife's dental insurance plan, I called to cancel and request a refund. They refused to issue a partial refund, stating that they have a no refund policy after 30 days. They just ripped me off for a full year's premium. I would definitely not recommend their services.
Business response:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Due to Mr. ****** having an early renewal, his expiration date overlapped and caused our system deny a full refund. Once this error was escalated to our I.T. department it was corrected and we immediately contact Mr. ****** and issued a full refund. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and hope we can serve Mr. Grimes in the future if needed. Thank you.
I purchased a discount plan, based on my dentist being listed in the provider list, only to find out that they don't except this plan and never have. When I called them for a full refund, they said that they would be keeping $20 for a "service fee". I don't recommend this company to anyone. dentalplans.com is a scam.
