Wonderful bedside manner Brilliant diagnostician. Does not rush you. Takes very personal interest . Listens to you very carefully
On October 21, 2017, I sustained a major heart attack. I was at home watching a Yankee playoff game and collapsed when I attempted to stand. The next thing I remember was being rushed down a hallway to an operating room. Dr. Katechis was running and pulling the mobile bed. He explained my situation as grave & proceeded to play two stints in my heart.. He is a kind & gentle man & a excellent physician. He saved my life.
I was seen by Dr. Katechis in an emergency situation. I had suffered a cardiac arrest and was seen by Dr. Katechis in an advisory capacity. I changed my cardiology care to Dr. Katechis. Over the next several months he performed several tests and ruled out potential causes for my issue. He is extremely through and explained everything so I understood what was happening. He diagnosed me correctly and his follow-up and caring for the person is outstanding.
He is very clear and speaks to you in a way that you feel calm and comfortable. He listens and responds to all questions about your condition in a manner you can understand
