Dr. Dendy Engelman was incredibly rude and hostile during our visit. I tried to explain my skin issues and she cut me off immediately and suggested these overpriced treatments that weren't correct for my skin. The appointment was rushed and terrible. Do not recommend.
Long wait time, and was rude when I was explaining something on behalf of my underage child. She cut me off and was like she’d rather hear from them. That was my last time there. Left a bad taste in my mouth after that.
Everything she recommended costs thousands (filler, lasers, etc.) and the only think that I wanted/made a difference/asked for regarding helping my appearance was a simple ($5) prescription which she wouldn’t give me. I had to go to another (not cosmetic focused) dermatologist. Also very rushed.
Horrible doctor! Worst dermatologist in New York City. She told me my acne was stress related (even though I shared I had hormonal stuff), and she misdiagnosed a friend's skin cancer. Stay away from Dr, Engelman.
I had a horrible experience. She told me I need a biopsy and took a shaving of it. This not only scarred me but was absolutely normal. I had it look at by another Dermatologist who said any first year resident would know that it was not close to being suspicious. Is this even ETHICAL?
She was rushed and didn’t do much from there it was the other Derm that helped me not her . She honestly cares if you are famous and assumes you don’t have money
I had a Fraxel treatment with Dr. Engelman 2 weeks ago and the results are fantastic. Dr. Engelman is a highly skilled physician and instills confidence in her patients. She gave freely of her time to answer all of my questions and did so in a thorough and caring manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Engelman as a dermatologist and especially Fraxel laser.
Highly likely of recommending Dr. Engelman to family and friends.
Dr Engelman is so caring and attentive that I would highly recommend her for any dermatology needs!
