Not quite like i remember.. – I used to go to del's frequently but haven't been in 2 or 3 years until tonight. The atmosphere was way too loud, the pasta sauce tasted gross, service was slow and horrible. It was deff. not worth the money I paid. If you have a family it might be a nice place to go if you want to pay for over priced food, but i will never go again! I will just stick with Olive Garden, it's cheaper and tastes better!!
The Staff is Belittled and Verbally Abused – I would not recommend this restaurant because a former employee told me that the manager, Maryann, is verbally abusive (with foul language and insulting remarks) to her employees.
Italian? No Italian would eat this.... – sauce. I have been disappointed time and again with pasta selections. I can't decide if it's that they don't strain the pasta enough or the sauce is just that watered down. If you want a great pasta dish, stay home. Wedding Soup out-of-this-world, everything else I can honestly say is delicious you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu(that doesn't contain sauce) with the exception of pizza. Best Sunday Brunch in the City!!! Great Pizza & have you tried their Gnocci?To die for! – Went Sunday morning to find the best Brunch without leaving the city!! Standard eggs-bacon-etc-but then you can have some Chicked Marsala-Mafalda sauce-salad-fruit-croissants & the list grows!!! All you need after that for the day is a small snack before bed!! All that for under $12
Be glad you still live in da Burgh guys – I live in Rosemount MN, left Pgh in the late 80's. I make sure I get back to Pgh every year to fill the pickup with Mancini's Bread, Stuff from Leonard Labriola's ....and to eat at Del's. They still have the best lasagna, meatballs, wedding soup, and the cold antipasta plate is great. After reading some of these other reviews....what kind of kool aid are yuns drinking?? Are you Kidding me???? – Oh my. Go here if you like ice berg lettuce for your salad, really greasy food and marinara sauce that tastes like metal. Oh it was so bad.
In Bloomfield, Pittsburgh's Little Italy, this place is a landmark--literally and figuratively. – The Scene Like the Statue of Liberty, Del's seems to offer safe passage and harbor to those entering the neighborhood. Its menu is over-stuffed with familiar recipes--their parmesans and lasagnas being just two of the many crowd favorites--and their dining and banquet rooms are usually crowded. This restaurant was really good for the money. Nothing fancy, but clean and friendly atmosphere. It is a Kid Friendly place. Affordable and good. We liked it better than the Olive Garden.
worst italian in little italy – of the handful of italian restaurants in Bloomfield (pittsburgh's little italy) Del's is at the bottom of the list. Recommend D'Amico's.. especially for their veal dishes... Alexander's for pasta
