Del Ray Animal Hospital review I have been taking my pets there for about twelve years. The prices for their services used to be very reasonable, but has become a little pricey in recent years, probably due to their higher popularity and costly location. The front desk staff is helpful, though sometimes chaotic. I did have a bad experience once when leaving a sick cat that required special care while I was away. Trustworthy and helpful We have taken our pets to Del Ray since 1992. We have always had good service and caring doctors. Dr. Marsico has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help us with our cat, Baby who lived to a ripe old age of 21. We have moved further away and I still travel the 40 minutes it takes to have our pets examined and cared for.
Wish I had had a better experience I brought my cat in because he was urinating outside his box and vomiting about once a week. I told Dr. Mixson about these issues. When she weighed him I was happily surprised to learn he had lost about four pounds in fours years. Which is a great thing because he was very overwieght and now he is just mildly overweight. Next thing I now she takes him out of the room to draw blood which I assumed was to resolve the urinating and when I get up to the desk I am given a bill for nearly $300. I... read more
No better vet in the world than Dr. Farrell We've been going to Dr. Farrell ever since shortly after Del Ray Animal Hospital was started. He is the vet everyone wants: extremely competent and up-to-date on all the latest medical research; thoughtful and compassionate both to animals and their owners; able to give excellent explanations of illnesses and procedures without ever being patronizing or condescending. He clearly loves animals, and they love him. He's simply the best.
