Drove into Pittsburgh from Brooklyn for the first time a few weeks ago. We secured a reasonable rate at the Omni off my wife's credit card points... And after checking in we wandered down the street- and found Del Frisco's. I happened to still have on a baseball cap and shorts from the drive but the very gracious host said, " just take off the cap." which I would have already done if I weren't such a tool... My wife and I are making our way around the City and the fine dining restaurants. We exercised the opportunity of Restaurant Week to explore Del Frisco's. We reserved our table in advance and used Valet ($15). We waited to be seated at least 15 minutes despite the reservation. We were seated and it took probably 10 minutes for our server to greet us and take our order. The bread was hot and fresh and filled in the time for our dishes to arrive. My friend and I had a great time. The staff was attentive and personable. Zach was our waiter. He was great! Loved the live music. You can hear it even in the upper area we were in. It wasn’t too loud, perfect level to still carry a conversation. As a musician, I really appreciated the live music. Too many places are skipping out on that. Can’t wait to come back. Considering making a group reservation for my 40th.
