RecommendedMy Mom was transported from the hospital to Hospice in severe pain. As soon as she arrived the nurses jumped in to action to help her. What a difference they had made in such a short amount of time. Back in 2006 my Father had cancer and we decided that we would take care of him without understanding how difficult that would be. Defiance Area Hospice is such a wonderful and peaceful place. The care they give here is out of this world! They took great care of my grandpa during his short stay here and made sure my family was well taken care of too!!! It felt like home! Such a great place to have a loved one!!
What a calming peaceful place to work. Our patients and their families and friends are amazing. It amazes me that they worry about others when they are going through some of the most difficult times of their lives. We are truly blessed to be able to serve others.
All of the staff were really nice and caring. There was one exception though. Patty. She got an attitude with me the very first time I met her. I was losing my mom and she showed zero compassion. I was the closest to my mom out of all of my sister's so yeah I took it hard. That doesn't give her the right to get an attitude. Not professional at all. I thought all of the other staff were great and treated my mom like family. Thank you to those nurses.

The Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center has crossed our family needs more than once and helped our loved ones peacefully pass into the loving arms of the Lord Jesus. They provide badly needed relief for the patient, family and close friends who witness the end of a life. It's not an easy time of life but Hospice methodically works to ease that pain.
