Hi, I'm a freshman at Lynn University and I found this dentist place after getting my license near by. After walking in, I quickly made my appointment for Tuesday the 3rd. When I come in that day the lady upfront told me it was tomorrow, the girl behind her looked at the computer and told me it's actually Thursday. The younger gal at the dear was very accommodating
Every time I come to this dentist somehow I have problems for teeth I have no symptoms for. Im concerned when a dentist says "I have to figure out what to do with your tooth" because an xray looks funny. This office made me feel no confidence in their approach and I am already a patient at a new dentist office. I will not be returning.
My appointment was changed to the inconvenient time of 12:40 so I could have my prime hygienenist, Mirta. After waiting past my appointment time, I was given a part-time hygienist because Mirta was not there. I should have been called to reschedule. I had x-rays and met with Dr.Festa who recommended periodontal deep cleaning. I was not given enough detail information as to the readings on my teeth to why all quadrants had to be done. I feel like the atmosphere at AFD is an attitude of upselling both services and frequency of services. The hygienist spearheads this through chastising the patient about home are and promoting the general concept that oral calamity is imminent. I have had my teeth cleaned for years. I have has receding gums for years. AFD doesn't spend any more time than any other dentists office on my cleanings but they insist that the provide more than routine services and that I require more frequency than the average client.
