About this business
History Established in 1999. We started as a peanut stand in our current location in 1998. My Dad wanted to teach my sister and I business, so we started with boiled peanuts, then started to sell produce, and eventually Dad started renting the building for storage. We brought our smoker down to cook lunch for ourselves, but our customers kept demanding we sell them that too! So everyday, Dad would buy extra meat to bbq for our regulars. The best BBQ food We’ve ever had. Service was excellent and very friendly, we will be returning quite frequently, the bacon wrapped tater tots, to the ribs, Mac and cheese baked beans with a pulled pork sandwich. 🤤🤤
Always have excellent food and the staff are very friendly, but tonight it was beyond excellent and want to Thank them for making our Anniversary dinner great & the dessert was AWESOME!! If you want the best local BBQ this is the place
I HIGHLY recommend Deep South BBQ. I had the smoked chicken, shredded pork, and spare ribs with fried blueberry pie for dessert and that food was bomb-dot-com tasty. We drove from Bradenton just to get to Flavortown. Also, the fried biscuits are the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. I love this cozy little BBQ spot and will definitely return.
Pulled pork was very tasty. The fried okra was amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Unfortunately not our taste in bbq. Gator meal was very chewy and dry. fries were unsalted. Dry and smelly Cole slaw. Bbq had no flavor. One in our group had ribs and loved them. Pulled pork was ok but average at best. Very pricey for what was delivered. Been passing by and hoping to catch open for years and wont be back. Very nice folks and maybe others like this style bbq but not us.

Best place to eat for 100 miles, the brisket is something to write home about, and the potato salad is delicious
